While making our way through the streets of Antwerp I noticed some bikes in front of a lovely building with some spectacular windows. I probably took about 30 photos of bicycles during this trip and this one turned out to be my absolute favorite.
I just love the rectangular windows frames, the diamond and triangular panes, and the texture of the glass. The glass had a very distinct and old texture. Further, I love how the building-scape and sky behind me are reflected in the glass and how the different pieces of glass reflect the light separately as well as colletively.
I didn’t notice at the time but noticed just a few minutes ago that the bikes are not secured with locks. The locks and chains are present but they are not secured. It makes me think that the owners are nearby and they just popped off their bikes to admire the scene nearby.
