The name Dordrecht comes from Thuredriht which seems to mean ‘thoroughfare.’ Our time in Dordrecht followed that theme as we moved from place to place in the Netherlands last year. As we were searching for our target restaurant (which didn’t disappoint) I kept my eyes open for good photos. As I was cruising down the road the triple archway, depth, and contrast of this scene caught my eye.
This image was taken handheld on May 14th 2017 in Dordrecht, Netherlands using the Fuji X-T10 and the Fuji 18–55mm lens at 42.5mm, 1/250s, f/7.1, and ISO 400. Editing was performed in Lightroom to square the architecture, convert to black and white, and spot adjust contrast.
