This post will basically deal with our experience with the movie we saw yesterday. Without a doubt, the special effects were outstanding and continuous. The movie was so loud that Julie put all our coats over her belly so that Nate wouldn’t be scared. So in that respect the movie was great. You all need to go see it on the big screen. All those positive things aside, I really didn’t like the movie and will probably never see it again. I just thought the story was boring. The dialog was sparse, we seriously went 45 minutes with a single line! The whole beauty and the beast thing was not believable, neither was the parallel love story with the playwrite. The film was way to long for the story. I strongly dislike Jack Black so that didn’t help either. I guess I was just expecting too much from this film. I tend to expect a lot from Peter Jackson being such a big Lord of the Rings fan. Anyway, just thought I would let you all know what Julie and I thought about the film.
